Colosoul Cares Campaign – Invisible Children
The Rescue of Joseph Kony’s Child Soldiers
The small city of Perth took part in one of the most impressive humanitarian events over the ANZAC Day long weekend. The Rescue took place on the 25th of April, at the South Perth Foreshore. Over 400 passionate Perth people attended the event in support of the rescue of Ugandan children abducted by rebel leader Joseph Kony.
These amazing young people marched from South Perth Foreshore to the Supreme Court Gardens where they camped out for the night. These people were tied together with rope and had nothing but a backpack with them to last out the night.
The 400 marchers spent the night making new friends, playing music and dancing the night away. Numerous people too part in putting together a massive art project to reflect the magnitude of the difference the 25th of April would make on an international level for Ugandan child soldiers.
They camped over night to pledge their support for the rescue of the abducted Ugandan children. These Perth people took part in an international event that will force change in African nations struggling under rebel leadership.
Shadow Attorney John Quigley was the rescuer for the night; support the participants and encouraging the campers to continue to make a difference in the world. Senator Louise Pratt also was part of the event, showing support towards the cause these young people are working towards.
The night was an amazing success thanks to all those who came down and showed their dedication towards rescuing these young children from a life of violence. For more information check out look up The Rescue on YoutTube!
